I am about to replace rings. My 2 ltr was smoking a bit and after pulling the piston I found out why. On two of the pistons the ring gap was aligned...go figure !!
Anyone have any feedback on ring brands, and who stocks them. I will also replace main bearings as well.
Cheers
Baz

Re: Piston rings
Hastings for rings and Clevite for bearings seems to work fine. You'll of course need to figure out if you have stock or oversized units of each. Any of the usual vendors carries both.
