Out for a drive today..(pre-apology to our snow bound friends)

Post by wizard124 »

Beautiful, spring-like weather we are having here in N. Cal.
Dropped the top and went on a 3 hour loop out towards Hwy 1 and the coast. These pictures show Tomalas Bay and Pt. Reyes National Seashore in the background.

A little chilly in the mornings here but I have been riding the Aprilia Motorbike daily since Tuesday. Once the sun comes up its been top down weather every day so its been that quandary between Italian Motorbike or Italian Convertible for the commute and then the hardest choice of all - Keep on riding/driving past the office or stop at work.

Have not connected the heater core yet and have been using the 12 volt electric defroster unit from Harbor Freight that's been selling for $9 to clear the windshield and take the chill off.

These winter days when its so cold out it can be a bear especially when it gets down to a frigid 50 to 60 degrees and you have to wear a windbreaker or sweater along with your winter cap.

Or perish your warm winter gloves (go with light colors as the harsh winter sun can make your hands sweat too much):

Wish I had time for a 3 hour jaunt today. Pics look nice.

4 degrees (Fahrenheit) when I left my house this morning in Massachusetts.

There's no tops going down here and the gloves are a little bigger!

Yeah AJ! Terrible cold in Plymouth too! Up here on Stafford Hill during the last storm, it was blowing a constant 40-60 mph with sideways snow for 12 hours, coming straight in off the harbor. So cold now that the dog is holding it. He doesn't want to go out.
Good Lord.

The weather has just started to turn cold here in Michigan in this unseasonably warm winter. Oh well, I guess I can go ice skating and stare at the Spider cooped up in the garage

Making me a little bit jealous there. We moved to Maine from the Bay Area nine years ago.....seemed like a good idea then ( it was and still is). However, it was -15f on my way to work Monday.
It was +48 36 hours later, and the days are getting longer...... :D

Drove with the top down and the Golden Retriever in the back to the beach the last 2 days. Not, bad for Feb. in Chicago.
