Cardone distributor

Post by zachmac »

Has anyone tried a Cardone rebuilt distributor from the big name auto parts places, NAPA, AUTOZONE, ADVACE? Look slike they all sell the Cardone rebuilt units for about $140 for the electronic pos-point style unit which is a lot less than the normal Fiat suppliers are asking.

Also, does anyone know if a Magnetti Marelli SM809AX distributor from an 2 ltr Alfa will work on a 2ltr Spider?

I bought one a few years back. Seamed ok until the lower oil seal started leaking. Likely they did not replace it during the rebuild due to the difficulty of removing the drive gear pin. Replaced it and it was fine after that. I can check if I have an extra electronic setup.
