Stone Guards

Hey Guy's , I'm thinking of installing stone guard protectors…the one's in the pic are 7 inch and suite most MG's…

My question , has anyone installed them , where did you buy them ? and is this the correct size for a "79 ?

Any photo's and info would be greatly appreciated.

I like the look. I think Don Raugust has a similar set on his car. It didnt install them because they looked like a PITA to clean

I keep no secrets ! I am here to help anyone and everyone. if someone wants to now how i did something I am more than willing to share.
the rock chip guards are from a Jeep cj5 or early 70s VW. than you buy fuel line. sorry dont remember the size.you'll have try try a couple diffrent sizes to see, keep reading to see why. cut the fuel line to fit. than cut a slit in it from end to end. wrap around the mesh. putting the mesh in the slit. than supper glue the ends together. sandwich both pieces together between the head light and chrome trim ring. hassn't move over 3000 miles to date. fills the gap Nice !

I had them on my 70 when I was a kid. It was my daily driver so I wanted to protect the lights during the gravel on the road season. Worked well If I remember.
Just thinking, if you want to clean them, perhaps consider the dishwasher....

Anyone attempted to put a 3M type product over the lens for protection?
My only reservation in trying it is that it might be a PITA to get right with the lens curve.

Phoenix, Arizona. Global warming at its best as we have been dry and running 10 degrees F above normal. Seeing as I just got my 6 year resto on the road at the end of the summer, i have been taking advantage of every opportunity to take it out and explore. Man, I sure do miss Oregon back roads.
