73 front bumpers pushed in help

So on my 73 it has the bumpers sticking out and would rather bring them closer to the body like:

Has anyone done this. Also need a set of those wheels ! Once I get them tucked then the overriders come off and weld then off to chrome.

You could simply shorten the tubes that hold the bumpers, it would take just a little cutting and welding.
