Fender Liners

When I purchased my spider the drivers side fender liner was MIA and replacements can be fairly pricey (I cant justify spending $100+ for a piece of flimsy plastic on a 16 year old's income) so I have decided to experiment with using the Liner from an Opel (Saturn) Astra that I purchased from RockAuto.com for $17 with shipping. I'll no doubt have to modify and cut it to fit, but if it works I'll post pictures, has anyone else done something similar?
