My wife nick named my 76 "Ugly Betty" when I brought her home. She only had 38,000 miles on her but she had sat out unprotected for many many years in North Idaho. Destroyed the interior. Top shredded. Dash cracked and on and on.
Did my paint shoot this weekend and got some wheels from David Ozmer. David got some beautiful Rota's and kindly hand delivered his take offs to me for my project. What a guy. Thanks Dave. TulsaSpider provided the inspiration for my repaint with his breathtaking car. Here we go!
Thanks for taking a look.

Looks good! How long do you think it will take you to get it on the road?

Gratz, thats looking great.
What kind of brakes do you have ? Some of the pictures shows performance brakes in the front.
Is it the kit from Ricambi? And of it is, are you satisfied with them?

Re: 76 Spider re-paint
Thanks for the encouragement. No hopes of getting "Isabella" ready before the snow flies so I am looking at a spring coming out party. I am fortunate that my drive train is in good shape. Brakes are stockers but will rebuild and replace hoses. Interior is toast as is the dash. I need all new rubber seals for doors, hood, & trunk. I still need to rehab and paint the top frame. I really want to create a new grill look with stainless mesh of some sort. Windshield is cracked and one side window is broken. I really want to lower the old girl too. About 4" in the rear and 2" in the front.
What is available to use on the under side of the hood for insulation. My original quilted pad was home to mice for years and came off in a thousand pieces.
