ok, got itBEEK wrote:yes jim you may, but dont order one yet, if we do change the fan i will use a pusher fan from the front, to give more space as the 1436 radiator panel is different than the others
it came with a mounting kit. there are square rubber sticky pads you put between the radiator and the fan, then you put a long zip tie through the fins. from the back you slide more rubber sticky pads then slide a circular clip that locks onto the zip tie.btoran wrote:that looks very similar to an aftermarket one i bought. in addiiton to moving more air, it is virtually silent. how did you mount the fan to the radiator?
i got it off ebay for $25 shipped. this one is 14inch. if you do need one, you might need a smaller one since you have a smaller radiator. it's been so long since i looked at a smaller (early) radiator that i can't remember if 14inch would fit or not.fiat218 wrote:Where did you get it at, I may need one too
i havent' heard it spinning yet.. don't rush off to get one until i find out if it's good... sometime you get exactly what you pay for...MrJD wrote:crap... thats cheap. Tempting.
Thank God that your happy, now I can sleep ,juvius wrote:i just was out in the garage with my jump pack comparing the stock fan and the aftermarket fan. They both seem to move about the same amount of air, but the aftermarket one is quite a bit quieter. i'm happy with it.
Man! Every time I stare at my tired old linkage atop the cam housing...I either want to circumnavigate it to somewhere else, or at least make it look good! You did the latter and it looks great!juvius wrote:accelerator linkage and front indicators cleaned up pretty nice (thanks to autoricambi for the quality clear lenses): (this also makes me happy, jim!!!) Though i'm thinking about replacing the amber bulbs with a chrome amber bulb so you won't be able to see orange until the lights are on.. just not sure if it really makes a difference...
