well, here's a peek at my solution (finally)

i realize it is a poor shot for the driving lamps, but i installed a pair of Hella 500's behind the grill and attached to the underside of the rad support

Long time since I've been around...

FWIW, here are some close ups of the route I went with my Cibies. I removed my original grill used an extra one, clipped two small rectangular sections out to allow the lights to mount flush as opposed to behind the grill. They are attached simply by drilling and bolting through the rad support channel. Works well...

I didn't like how the fog lights were going to look. The more I thought about it, the more it bothered me. So I changed them and frenched them into the fender. Here's the pic's of what I got done so far.

That looks cool!

Are they fixed positionally or are you able to adjust the throw?

Thanks,
They are able to be adjusted up and down. Not side to side though. I drilled a small hole to hold the lights on and it has threads . It was so hard to get the lights square. It's so easy to mess it up. I took measurements after I spot welded the second one on and they measured the same. It was a headache though.

What a great look that'll make. Please post more pics when you're done and tell us how it all works for you.

For those who don't want to drill holes, check this out:

http://www.axiaalloys.com/YamahaRhinoBi ... tMount.htm#

KC makes a similar product for 1/2 the price.

I measured my bumper tube at slightly less than 1.9 inches, both Axia and KC have a mount that matches that diameter.

I am on the slightly embarrassing hose-clamp program for the moment, so I can't verify that either of the above-mentioned products are cool.

Hi All,

have you seen the original VX fog lights? The mounting is done using the bolts in the front bumper and a small bracket (which is still available through http://www.del-priore.com for small money) - looks like this:

There is help -

the bracket is called "Halterung für Nebelscheinwerfer, VX" (their part nr 17-13) and does cost 15€ the piece (you need two) plus p&p.

Actually they still stock the original VX Carello foglamps (17-12, "Nebelscheinwerfer Carello , VX ") for 75€ each.

Stefan,

That is the setup I want. I can't speak German even if my life depended on it... any chance you can pinpoint where exactly in the website is the bracket? I tried navigating the site and could not find it.

Are the lights still available or do we now have to look for something from Hella that resembels the old ones?

Danke schön! / Grazie!
