Then I picked up a couple of BMW's ellipsoid headlights from the junk yard.
I spent almost a whole day grinding , cutting and sanding them and the headlight buckets to make them fit.
Finally they are in and I am very happy with the results .

Then I bought new wheels 15x7
Never really loved them and finally I sold them to some Lancia guy.

I started with the rear calipers .
I had to modify mounting holes to fit them , since it is a 5mm difference.

Front was harder , a lot harder.
It took me about 6-7 hours to fabricate one adapter plate out of 10mm steel.
I don't have any fancy machinery , so everything was done by simple hand held tools.
The second one was a little easier , I just copied the first one. :D

One of the biggest problems was to find the rims what clear the calipers and look good
I tried a lot
Most of them don't clear the calipers or stick out too much
The first set barely cleared the front and it looked too heavy

Image

The second one I like a lot , but they come in +10 offset only and they stick out about an inch

Image

The third ones is the winner so far , maybe I'll paint them gold sometime

Picked up calipers from powder coating
Everything is back together except for the brake hoses

Got the adapters made . They convert 4x98 to 4x100
And they are hub-centric and wheel-centric as well.
Front - 25mm , Rear - 35mm
Everything fits and works.

I used very similar spacers on mine, but left them at 4x98. The handling improvement is incredible!

Hey Special,
That is a very impressive looking car you have there.
Very tastefully done.
Clean and well laid out -- and well thought out.
Just a very nice job, in my opinion.
Glad you are sharing these photos with us.
