It all makes sense to me, I would think that you would want to follow the direction of the port, I just wasn't clear if those ports were at a different angle than the head. So, thanks for clearing that up! You've all been super helpful, I'll be sure to do it correctly according to port angle. This step at the port seems like a keen idea too, not exactly sure how I would do this, but I will do some more reading up on it.

the ideal collector is a true merge collector, but they are pricey. At some point, price and room constraints come into play
