Thanks!!! If I'm not losing my mind (which is certainly possible) your engine bay is a thing of absolute beauty!! Once quoted as the reddest engine bay? Yours was among the examples of what motivates me to have something even close!

Not being happy with my black intake hose, I found an aluminum one which I will trim some length off and use a silicone 90 into the box on the carbs... once I get that far.
I then moved my breather hose to the new section which should lead a little better. The fuel pressure guage will end up in front of the first carb with the fuel line running over the intake.

My 2 cents : these pumps vibrate a lot and they make noise if you mount them like you did.

I have it mounted with rubber spacers but it sounds like not enough? The kit you mention is not expensive so thanks for the advise!! Consider it done!

OK - so I'm hijacking this thread somewhat now... but as we were talking about it earlier...

Here's where I've ended up with my parking lights...



When you activate a turn signal, the parking light goes out and the turn signal flashes. Once the turn signal has finished, there's a 2 second pause, and the parking lights comes back on.



... and as you were asking about my seats. I finally finished the re-covering....



... now to finish the dash.

First, I love the dual function lights! Is that the VW lights you refered to? Did you modify them or is that how they are meant to work from VW?
And second, as far as seats go... You are too modist!! Those, as roller says, are "wicked PISSAH!" Amazing job!! You should be proud!

I got my first taste of brake line fabrication and have to admit, the first one was crap...
The 2nd, 3rd and 4th worked out ok.

Didn't really fit that well so I did another and it is much cleaner.



With all that experience I knocked out the other two..



I still have all the other ends to button up and cable clamps to install but the engine bay is getting very close to done!
I can't describe how that feels but many of you know the feeling!!

The lights are from a VW Golf Mk3 - just the housing. The bulbs and holders are aftermarket.

I finished buttoning up the engine bay and did a bit more under the car. Brake lines to both front wheel wells and to the rear. Then I started back inside, sorting wires...







I also started testing the new electrical system.

Today I am working behind the fire wall, sorting wiring and decided it was time to mock up my one piece dash to verify guage, switch, etc. location. The lines drawn at the top and bottom will be padded leather wrapped. I would love to hear opinions on the shape...
