Ok been a week or so since my last update. I have the Infinitybox modules installed, the rear powercell is finished with the exception of the fabric loom. The front powercell is almost done, I have been integrating parts of the old harness with the new. I was looking at laying out the switches, I bought billet pushbutton switches from England but I was not happy with the look.
SO......I contacted Jay from Infinitybox about the InTouch module, this module along with their InMotion module will let me control every function from my 7inch Kindle Fire. ( I got the new 59 dollar one). It will control, accessories, starter, headlights, high beams, hazards, power windows, door locks, trunk popper. I will mount the Fire in the new center console.
I will place the order this week......
My insurance agent is going to laugh in my face when I tell them how much replacement coverage I will want on this car, good thing I have all the receipts, maybe one day I will get a bottle of Makers Mark and add them up!
And the saga continues!

Well I am really getting bummed out! I ordered the Infinitybox Intouch and InMotion modules a month ago and I still do not have them. I really like the product and the individual support provided by the companies owner, Jay Harris, but their supply line sucks! I am at a standstill until theses parts come in as I have to find mounting locations for the modules.

Pat,
The delay just gives you more time to compose a good speech for the insurance people!!
Always looking for updates and almost as excited to see yours done as I am mine!

Well got some good news in the mail the Infinitybox InMotion module arrived yesterday, I am still waiting on the InTouch module. I mounted the new module in the trunk on the right side of the battery I think that when I am finished it will give it a nice balanced look.
On a side note I was thinking of putting in power door locks, the new module acts as a controller. Has anyone done this? Is it doable with the combined lock/latch system that these cars have? Any help or advice would be appreciated!!
I will post a better picture when I have the trunk cleaned up!
Until next time.....and thanks again for all the nice comments!!

Hopefully I can give you an update this weekend, I got the "InTouch" module in yesterday I am going to attach it and a few other wires and give the system a test run. I haven't cut in the SecretAudio or the power control module shifter yet but I can still make the lights come on and operate the power windows. I will post pictures when I am done.
So far it hasn't been hard, just different. I learned electronics 34 years ago I am used to having a power supply feed a switch and or relay thru a fuse that then powers the load with a ground on the other side of load. This system has a control module that has input wires looking for a ground which u provide by throwing the switch. The control module then tells a power supply module via a CAN bus to turn on the load. I have added the intouch system that communicates to the control module in place of the switches, it uses a local internet system to communicate with my 7 inch Kindle Fire to control the ignition, all lights, all windows and locks. The Kindle will also provide music and navigation .......friggin amazing tech!!

well I have written several versions of what happened next, but for whatever reason I keep getting kicked off and everything gets lost.....short story is that the engine and transmission are installed there are a lot of pictures on the photobucket link in the signature. I will try again to post pictures but have spent several hours just to have it all erased!!

Nice - looks beautiful.
The beer by the passenger taillight must be a later model feature. My 74 doesn't have that!
