You guys are probably right, I have so many hundreds of pics on there, and a lot that are probably ONLY on there, lost in old pc's and crashed drives... maybe it is worth giving in to the extortion. Somewhere a marketing and finance manager are chuckling.

It was explained to me that the storage requirements and IT management effort would be enormous, which is why very few forums do that. Very expensive.

couple of weeks ago someone posted about adding an extension to your browser to view all old photobucket pics. I dont remember the extension but it worked perfectly. all old photos are still there. took 2 minutes
