What you need is a proximity sensor and alarm. The idea is to deter them from entering the car in the first place.
The louder and more obnoxious the alarm the better. The alarm should not be the "whoop - whoop" type that everyone has and that everyone else ignores when it goes off - it should be LOUD and obnoxious.

I definitely want it to make as much noise as possible. The guy said if they put a hand on the car or lean on it it'll trigger the "back away" noise, then if they open the door it'll go off pretty loud.
