is this one you built yourself? Or is someone making one for the Spider "ready-to-go"?
I'm no Boy-Racer..... but if I can't take every on-ramp at TWICE the posted limit.... I'm a total failure!

This was a custom made bolt in unit. Refer Adam's website. You'll also find alloy radiators and 6 pot brake conversions,

I did not think a roll bar would help stiffen the car.
I want to do anything possible to stiffen the car,and if this does it makes it even more attractive.
The one I think looks good is the double loop?
Can't explain it other than it looks like a Shelby Cobra only it has it for the left and right side of the car.
It is placed behind the back seat, and not the front.

Maybe someone here has this, and has a pic to post?

i've never seen a Spyder with one of those, but I did at one point consider custom fitting a Porsche Boxter roll bar, which is similar to what you're talking about and pretty plentiful on ebay, even to where it's available in different colors.

Z3's, minis, s2000's, miata, all have this style and it looks sharp. usually it's a bit more subtle than the shelby.

I ended up scoring an autopower one mentioned above for a fraction of the cost of new, so there went that idea. it's hard to beat bolt in ready to go.

Traditional bolt-in 4-point roll bars, like the Autopower street bars don't do much in the way of chassis stiffening. To really get that, there needs to be additional anchor points at the floor below the dash at the fire-wall Additional diagonal bracing really stiffens things up...

certainly the 4 pt bars don't stiffen the chassis they way a cage would, but the change is noticeable on the cars I've done installations on

agreed. I noticed it immediately when I installed mine.

Does anyone know what color would match the silver Rotas?

Go to a powder coater that is known for good work in your area.
Ask for the Tiger Dry LAc color chip books.
You can find it in any RAL book also, but TIGER DRY LAC is a mfg, that has great powder
for custom work.
You will find a color of silver that best matches the ROTa wheels.
It's there.

Hi Mike,
I know this is an old thread, but I'm wondering where you bought your rollbar and if it still allows the convertible top to be used? Thanks.

He hasn't been on here since 2012 so he is likely not going to answer. He says he has an Autopower

Thanks for the heads up. I ended up getting what I believe is an IAP bar with a harness bar added on when I picked up a parts car.
