Re: EZ Car Lift
Eddie,
That lift is an interesting idea, but for not much more money a fellow can get a much more useful lift -- either 2 post or 4 post.
I ended up getting a four post lift called the Pro Park 8+ because I wanted to be able to stack two cars in one spot. And, with the caster kit, I can move the lift around, even out into the driveway. I had my garage built with a 9 ft overhead door because this lift is about a foot taller than most of the hobby lifts.
One problem with buying one of the big lifts is getting it home. These companies don't just drop it in your driveway. I had mine delivered to a local loading dock, brought it home on a car hauler trailer, then picked it off in pieces with my engine hoist.
By the way, shipping was only $150 from Atlanta -- not too bad considering the 1735 lb shipping weight.

The first one looks neat.
I'd like to see pic's of the second one Ernie.

Re: EZ Car Lift
Those have the benefit of portability... but at that price you can get a mid-rise scissor lift or a two-post unit...
If you have the ceiling height, go with a full two post asymmetric unit...
If your ceiling is normal height (8') go with what I went with:

Re: EZ Car Lift
That is awesome Jaime - Thanks for the photos. But can you roll the car around with the MaxJack? I would need to push it over in the corner so I could get another vehicle in beside it. That's what I liked about the ezcarlift. You can buy a set of casters and roll it anywhere you wish with the car sitting on it. Also, I don't have to drill holes into my basement shop floor.
Ernie - Can you post more information or a link about your lift. I'm in Atlanta so if they are here, I could save that shipping.

Re: EZ Car Lift
ohh... nope... you can move the posts around (I drilled holes in the single bay and in the double bay to be able to use it on either side) or put them against the wall when you are done using it... but not move the car around like what you can do with the ezcarlift.EddieJames wrote:That is awesome Jaime - Thanks for the photos. Re: EZ Car Lift
Eddie,
Go here for details:
http://www.gregsmithequipment.com/Vehic ... t-s/36.htm
Like I said, mine is the Pro Park Plus. I wanted the extra height (just in case). This lift came with the caster kit, drip trays, and a heavy duty jack tray. I have absolutely no complaints.
I did a lot of Internet searching before I decided. I'm darned slow to pull the trigger on spending the big bucks. I'm not saying I made the best choice for everyone, but it was the best I could come up with for me.

Re: EZ Car Lift
I just noticed that wachuko mentioned moving the car around on the EZ lift. I should add that you can move the four post lift with a car on it also.
The caster kit gets attached with the rails raised up a couple feet. Lowering the rails deploys the casters and lifts the posts a couple inches off the floor. You can do this with a car on the rails and then move the whole works around the garage.
