I need one of these rubber shift boots for a '69 124 Spider.
Anyone know if this is the right part from Vick's? I emailed them twice but got no response.
Thanks,

Yep, that's it. Somewhat tricky to install with the transmission installed in the car. A little dishwashing liquid will help you wiggle it onto the top flange of the tail. Some guys find it easier to replace from the underside.

If you remove the sheet metal panel replacing the rubber boot from the top will be very easy. Sometimes the pink clips get brittle from the heat of the trans and break. The result: you keep turning the screw and it never loosens. Someone may need to hold the clip from the underside with a pair of extra long needle nose pliers while someone on top loosens the screw. You can find metal clips at the local hardware store that will slip over the sheet metal of the trans tunnel like the originals did, but will never break due to heat.
