titanium retainers
Re: titanium retainers
So I pay over $500 for Titanium retainers. What am I going to see with this over hardened steel ones. Besides a few grams of weight loss, rotating mass reduction at a minimum and the mental state of knowing I have titanium retainers. If you go titanium retainers, you better be going with sodium filled valves too. Especially if your going that far.

Re: titanium retainers
ok here is the almost finished head. this is what i want the retainers for, but now im having second thoughts as to the valves, which i have are good, but im talking to ferrea about making a set of 7mm stem, valves for the fiat, then i can use off the shelf titanium retainers, springs, and they will make guides for my application.
next question dry sump oiling, my delima, even though i have opened up the drain backs in the head, and i always open them up and lower them in the cam housings, windage is an issue. the oil has to drain back down the side of the block, or worse get hit by the crank on its way to the pan. so, do i scavange oil from both the cam boxes, not allowing the oil to return thru the head, or do i make internal piping to control the oil to the sump, or do i do external oil return.
this is one of the many pumps i have at my disposal, this is a 3 stage i have 4 and 5 stages as well

Re: titanium retainers
im using the efi lancia casting. which flowed the best of the standard castings i have at my disposal, except the 1608, which has a factory port job, and a much higher intake bowl area. granted i opened the ones up in my head. i would love to get a 105tc head though, can you get me a core? ill gladly buy it and pay for shipping! love to have one to play with.
