I found these on Ebay for new top, new boot, new carpet kti for my 1978 124 Spider. What do you think? Total junk or ok? My car will be a driver, not a show car. Thanks!

I bought the carpet. It looks good but not the highest quality. My binding is tearing away from the carpet, the fit is not perfect but its carpet. If I was to do it again (and I may) I would find a better quality maker. The seller is a top notch guy and great to work with.

Do you have a recommendation for better quality but still reasonable price?
Thanks!

Can't comment on the top or boot. As for the carpet kit. It looks like the kit that most vendors sell. I had that kit in beige and wasn't impressed. Its really thin. If you go with the carpet kit. You will need to purchase the backing. I removed my whole interior. I laid down new backing and also sound deadening. Worked great but would of been awesome with a higher quality carpet.

Hi Ken,
I have purchased two cloth tops from tops on line. Really nice product for the money. PM me your email address and I'll send you a pic. My second was just installed yesterday. Looks really good
I have also ordered from BenHUR (No relation to Spartacus). Nice guy. It's a 159.00 carpet kit. Pretty good for the money and certainly good enough for a driver. I just ordered a second set. I have two Spiders.I ordered the carpet upgrade and an extra heel pad for the passenger side. I should have it this week. George

I had the top on my '80 Spider I recently sold. For the money, it can't be beat. The only complaint I had was the seams came unsealed on the inside, letting water in. I resealed them with urethane windshield sealant.
