So, the PO recently sent me my passenger's vent latch for the vent window. Unfortunately both the drivers side and the passengers side are leaking water through both of these, so I kind of need to get it fixed soon.
What would you guys use to adhere them to the window? I've heard that a kit for mounting a rear view mirror would work, but I was curious if you guys had any other ideas, so I don't do something and they fall off, making an even bigger mess on my windows.

I've tried the two part epoxy and it didn't work. I have also had the local auto glass company glue them on for me. They stayed on for a time, but eventually they popped off again, this time taking a bit of glass with them. I don't think they are actually supposed to stay on the car, but are meant to roll around in the map pockets.

Aww man, I was really hoping to get the original style latches to go on and stay on; I don't like the way the replacements look or work.mdrburchette wrote:I've tried the two part epoxy and it didn't work. Here's a link to this topic with past discussions. My vent windows have stayed on, using the rear mirror windshield loctite that you can get at the autoparts stores. The most important consideration is making sure that the latch is not having to hold too much force, from an improperly fit vent window seal. Second most important consideration is cleaning and prep before applying adhesive.
