Leather steering wheel

My '81 Spider has a leather Ferrero steering wheel. All of the ones I've seen on ebay seem to have vinyl rims so is this original? Unfortunately the leather seam is coming unglued. Any ideas about what to do (either DIY or are there places that can fix this type of problem)?

It is original and you can find it on the cars with the brown/beige interior. These cars also have the consoles (one peace), the door handles and the lower dash wrapped in vinyl. They also had leather seats.
Sorry, don't know how to fix the wheel. I got one with the same issue in my shelve in the garage.
