"Italian Car Day" 2010 (video!)

Post by apcollins »

Hey guys,

My father and I just had a lot of work put into our '79 FIAT Spider 2000, and had a chance to exhibit it at the 2010 "Tutto Italiano" (Italian Car Day) car show at the Larz Anderson Auto museum in Brookline, MA.

Check out this posting on my website to see a video and photos of the event (lots of FIATs):

And be sure to check out http://roadroving.com again for more FIAT and other cool car related stuff.

I really like the pretty blue one. Does anyone know who's car that is and what color it is?

Nice Video.

I was there with my car.

The Blue one was owned by a woman. I talked to her briefly. I don't remember her name. I think the Black one in the picture is Alfadude1's (Jon).

Watching that video It was great to see all the Spiders at the show.

Back in the early `90s my wife and I used to attend with our `77 Spider every year, looking forward to meeting a small, regular, clan of fellow Spider owners. Then in the late `90s sponsorship and the organization of the show was taken over by the local Ferrari club, FIATs lost their long-held place on the lawn and were placed elsewhere, and even the FIAT logo was removed from flyers advertising the show. Grrrr!

When complaints corrected the later but not the first we simply stopped going feeling more than a little bummed out.

Now that it appears that our beloved cars are again welcomed and honored I hope to go again next year. But frankly I don't expect our ol' driver to get any awards. The cars there this year were BEAUTIFUL! :)
