Photoshop mockup

I think I finally found the look I'm going for-

I don't think it'll be too hard to fab this up, once I get a decent welder.

Perhaps its just my age (52) but I'm finding front turn signals that are small or use an amber bulb in a clear lens more difficult to see/notice, especially in brighter daytime conditions. A tad bit bigger might be an idea, but my $.25 anyway.
Good idea to plug up the hole and install what you want.

I also extended the grill downward, replacing most of the area the lower grill used to occupy, making it much larger. Sure, the turn signals could be larger. I do have a pretty decent set off a '74, Maybe I could PS that to see what it would look like.

Oh, what the heck, here's another, more psychedelic view of that PS file. What do you guys think of the grill being that size?
It would be pretty easy, right?

I love it. I was thinking how nice it looks by sealing the holes... without noticing the bigger grill... I really like it.

I think would to move the grill forward as you did... but I think the way the hood opens prevent us from moving it out that much.

If If your already going thru this much trouble, you could always make the bottom of the grill piovot, then clip it to the hood underneath so it tilts back when the hood opens. Lots more work.

Oh yeah, the hood needs clearance... I'll have to keep that in mind.
Here's some (really bad and hastily done) Cobra-style bumpers-

That looks cool. You could also just install the bumperettes under the grill area at the edge. When are you going to start?

Probably not till November... My garage has no A/C, and I live in Phoenix.
Plus, I need to amass more stuff. I just bought a decent enough compressor, got it wired into the 220 and got the plumbing routed correctly. I'm still waiting to buy a small wire feed welder. But man, it's just too hot right now.
