I personally can't justify the cost of Mark's system as I have a freshly refurbished and perfectly functional stock distributor with one of Vick's more modern coil packs. BUT, if I had a non-functioning or broken distributor / ignition I would make the swap in a heartbeat. It ain't always about HP and I don't think Mark was trying to claim that was a primary benefit when he posted the dyno runs. AND it is true that the claims of "more reliable" have yet to be proven. BUT at the same time how many other vendors bother to test their products, let alone publish the test results for all to see.
Mark has an alternative to a system that is becoming more expensive and harder to source parts for with every passing day that most certainly also provides better spark at high RPM. No one is forcing anyone who is happy with what they have to change it out but I for one like the idea that I need not worry that 10 years from now I might not be able to get OEM ignition parts.
