AS 1969 dynamo or alternator ???

Does someone know for certain if the AS 1969 Spider imported in the USA had the alternator or still the dynamo as in the first years of production in Europe ???

I was thinking that the year '68 when the second version of the first series was launched, and the rear suspension was modified, the import in the USA started, might have been the year when the dynamo was abandoned and the smaller and lighter alternator introduced. I'm not sure at all...only suppositions

Can someone confirm that all the AS spiders imported in the USA from '68 to '69 had the alternator mounted ???

yes still the torque tube....but with 4 longitudinal rods instead of two like the first version of the AS series.

What about the dynamo ?
I have to be patient.....I know that not many people know this

I have a specification and features main servicing instructions book that says for chassis type 124AS engine type 124AC.000 up to car serial No. 1591914(chassis No. 741) have been fitted with Generator D 115/12/28/4 E. Alternator A 12 M 124/12/42 M after. The battery, voltage reglator, and starter were also different.

Interesting....only the first 741 cars had the dynamo then !!!

So all the American imports had the alternator.....I was interested in that!

if anyone has something to add, please feel free to do that !
