Fog Lights Alternative

Post by wachuko »

Looking for ideas on where to install a set of fog/driving lights.. keep in mind that I will not have bumpers in my car for now but will install the Abarth styled bumpers later. So I can't use the bumper shock holes, need to keep those available.

or (these are from a forum member, corujoxx, he used Mini Cooper lights... but at 369.00! ouch!) I like them...

and I really do not want to touch/modify the grill

Inside the grill the size is limited to 4 or 4-1/2"

Or, as you see in the first photo, a 6/12" would be about the same size of the headlight and could be install in the small hole already in front clip...

Sorry I can't provide any insight on the lights, I just wanted to comment on the first picture. You are so into it, that you have one spider up on a rack and another just below it. Love it!! love it!! You have been bitten, and now have the fever.

that just alieviates the hassle of temporary storage of parts from the parts car. pull the parts and install them w/out setting the part down!

Brilliant!

I am glad you found those photos. Not sure if it is the white covers not being straight or what... but not loving that look as much as I thought I would... the Mini Cooper lights are still looking like the better option, looks wise

Let me finish the blue one before I look at another fixer upper  I was about to order the exhaust system from Mark and the wife put her foot down on expenses... so I need to sell a few things first and wait until August to get the exhaust. In the mean time I get to redo the interior and anything else that I have the parts for... Doing the fog/driving lights only if I find an option for a reasonable price.

Why would people go through so much work and fail on the details... or are those bumpers meant to be installed like that? They seem crooked????

No idea, he must have had his head on crooked when he put things on his car.

I say this option but move the lights down until they are centered vertically with the lower grill. You could easily mount them through the valence with a large washer behind the sheet metal.

I will be buying these and adding them in that same area I mentioned.

He also has a 5" version in amber or clear but they are not H3.

It looks like he made them even with the lights instead of with the car.

Anyone knows what size are the factory fog/driving lights? Like the ones in this photo?

Im really liking the style of those on that white/black abarth style spider. Nice and big. Makes the car look mean and helps fill up the "hole" sans bumper.
