Here's another way to make a T-shirt from a photograph using nearly any inkjet printer:

You can print on the transfer paper and iron it onto T-shirts, pillowcases, handkerchiefs, etc. We do it all the time and they look good and wear quite well if done right. The transfers aren't opaque, so colored shirts mess up the colors. They work best on white shirts.
