MOMO Steering wheel

Post by courtenay »

I've checked past threads on this, but am not sure I have a definitive answer (if there is one). I have an '80 124 Fi. Do MOMO steering wheels bolt directly to to the existing hub or do I need an adaptor. I gather that an adaptor is required for Nardi and Personal wheels (???)

I have the same question but for my 78 124. I have a 12" Momo Corse wheel. Do I need an adapter hub?

Thanks

the MOMO wheels bolt directly to the hub used on 79 and later Spiders. Earlier cars need to use the late hub otherwise get an adapter

Note to all the big folks out there....Installed a MOMO Monte Carlo 330 mm wheel. I'm a big guy (6'4") and the little wheel allows me to shift between first and second and actually get the clutch in and out without hitting a steering wheel. The dealer who sold me my '72 many years ago did this to make the sale at the time. Still works!!!

Roberto - the350mm diameter will probably work too. And make the car a bit easier to turn in parking lots. That's the only downside of the little wheel and no power steering (not that I would ever advocate power steering!!) The extra inch might make a difference. (in the steering wheel, that is)

The Corse wheel that I have is a bit of a legacy for me. I have had it for about 10 years and have had it in all my toys along the way... mostly MK1 and MK2 VW's back in the day and now it will be in the Fiat. I can't wait....Italian guy driving and Italian car with an Italian steering wheel. hahaha Cheesy but I like it haha
