wheel opinions / values (now with new pictures!)

Post by maytag »

Hey all!
I'd love some opinions.
A parts-car I bought came with some really sharp looking Konig Wheels. I hadn't intended on using them, Because I've got a new set of Rotas on my shelf waiting on tires. Once I got them all cleaned-up, they are really, really nice.

See the pictures below.

So my questions are these:

1) have y'all seen this particular wheel before? (yes, it is a true 4x98) and how do ya like it?

2) what are they worth? (Any interest here on the forum, before I ebay 'em?)

the tires are trash. They've got tread still, but they're all weather-checked. I wouldn't use 'em. (I put 'em on just to take the pics, and will not drive with 'em)

Well, would you like me to pm you an offer for them? Someone else might have a better idea what they are worth than I would, and I would appreciate the appraisal. Also, I was wondering what it might cost to ship the rims. My zip code is 68632. Any idea what they weigh? Thanks for the info.

I can ship 'em from work, and I'm guessing no more than $15/ea to ship. tops. I'll get the tires pulled-off of 'em to save weight.

Before we start talking actual selling price, let me get 'em all cleaned-up, snap some close-ups, etc etc, so that we avoid any misunderstandings and / or surprises.

that should give some time for others to chime-in on value, too. :D

maytag,
I like em! From what I've read those are the Konig - Holes (w/Graphite Center and Machined Lip). Manufactured pre 2008. Very nice! Let me know what you come up with on a ballpark selling price.

So in an affort to help me make a decision if I'm keeping these or selling 'em.... I needed to see what they look like with the body coloring that's in the works.
Some of you know I'm working on a Carbon Fiber hood, and the deck-lid will be shortly after that. So wile not a traditional "flat-black-Abarth" look, it's pretty close.
So last night I ripped-off the hood and deck and sprayed 'em flat black, to see how they work together.

I'll admit, it didn't make it any easier. :?
I LOVE 'em. I think they look smokin' hot. But I also love the more classic look of the Rotas.

My wife says I can't keep both sets... (not like I have room anyway).....

I'm strugglin' with the decision here.

Wow, that looks really sharp on your car. If I were you, id slap on some racing tires and keep em hidden from the misses. Spare set for the track.

I'd be interested in bidding on these OR taking the ROTAs off your hands.
