We used 3M seam sealer and it did crack so we thought that maybe we put too much in the seam. For some reason, the seam on my 72 is pretty deep but you could see the brass braising. The second time we didn't use as much seam sealer and even bought a brand new tube just in case the other was old but it didn't do a bit of good.azygoustoyou wrote:Why Denise,
Did you use a very cheap seam sealer?Is your cracking? It's probably the same stuff. Why didn't the shop tell you the name of the stuff? I bought seam sealer from Eastwood. It wasn't cheap. I guess I'll just use that unless someone redirects me.
Did you use the 2 part stuff, (epoxy) like in the link in my post above or just the stuff in a tube?
