I still have not been able to locate any plugs to the intake manifold (1800). I need the two on the bottom of the manifold. Anybody got some lying arround? I'm hopeing the new 1800 intake and rebuilt carb will help my 79 perform a bit better. Get rid of that vaccumn leak at least. She's got sooooo many lines abandoned and plugged on her. She just needs a good simplification to get rid of that boggy-ness in the lower rpm's. I hope.
You mean the two sensors on the bottom of the manifold? I found out what they actually do and how they should be hooked up. But hooked up or not, they make no difference on how the car runs or drives. Under the manifold no one will see if they are sensors or plugs, just leave them there.
If you want, I have the two sensors from a parts car. They are the perfect size and will make great plugs that no one will ever see. I may even paint them silver for you.
I tried and tried to get the aluminum plugs out of the old aluminum manifold, but there is no freaking way! I used a few oil drain plugs and an old sensor, (cut off and filled with epoxy), to plug the hole for which I could not find a plug for.

"just leave them there. " Yep, quite the salesman. At $1 per sensor I'll be raking in the money. Hey boogiedude, how many free parts and labor have I given you? I just sent a free box of emissions stuff to Mark for the guys and gals in Californaia. OK, if Katsi buys the two plugs/sensors I'll donate $2 to the forum.
I wasn't going to say anything, but hey, my lack of willpower won out over good sense.
When I read the comment about "quite the salesman" it left me scratching my head, having a puzzled look on my face, and thinking "huh?"
I've dealt with you Matt, and for those who haven't, the prices Matt charges are more than reasonable. Not only that, but the parts come looking like new due to the effort Matt puts in cleaning and polishing.
The original poster asked if anyone had any lying around. My take on Matt's response was that he was saying yes, and offering them.
I personally think Matt would go broke being a salesman. He doesn't charge enough.

No worries guys, no offence taken. I understood the comments were made in jest, and my return comments were in jest. There's no point in having a forum if we can poke each other in the ribs from time to time.
You'r right Ron, I could sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in white goves on a hot day, but I probably would'nt charge her. Out here they call it "Aloha".
I hope my comment didn't rub anyone the wrong way, I was just poking fun at Matt. He donates both his time along with a boat load of odds and ends regularly to help me along on my Fiat journey, and gives the fairest prices around.
Dang, I'm always the last one to poke a rib or be invited to a group hug. You guys are going to make me read the threads that don't even interest me, aren't you?

To plug the hole left from removing that sensor just in front of the carb(has two pokey thing sticking up), I used a plug that is used for an O2 sensor. There is a sensor of some sort under the manifold with two spade attatchments, not sure what that is for yet,but will see when the engine eventually gets in the car. This was a single plane manifold.
