paint color codes

Hoping you can help.
The 72 currently in the shop is green The paint info is not under the trunk lid.
Wondering if there is a link to the fiat colour codes. Hopfully it will be ready to paint in a few weeks. Found a bit more rust once we started to dig around the front end. From the "A" post back it is in not bad shape for $300.

I believe it is one of these Fiat paint colors,

Green Verde - 388
Green Verde - 394
Bottle Green - 317* ( I think this is it)
Juniper Green - 327

These are the 68-73 Greens that are really close to your color

Your paint code is going to be on a metal plate on the firewall. Look under the hood on the passengers side under where the VIN is stamped into the metal.

Denise, what year did they stop putting the code on the plate? My 80 doesnt have it.

Took the 80 out to the shop(last day before insurance expires)to have a look at the code
Code on the plate was...317 Bottle green.
Just took a look at the plate on my 80, could not see any stamp like on the plate from the 72

Brady, I am just behind you in the body area. I had a large amount of rust on the underside and rear wheelwell areas. Just a few small metal repairs to go and ready to prime, but my entire interior is done. Doors and seats in leather, console and dash looking sweet. Just need carpet. Trans is rebuilt and ready, rear end is ready.
Engine over the winter, along with getting the wire loom brought to spec. with prime and paint on car in the spring.

Sounds great. I would love to see any pics of the interior. If you would, either pm or post. I still have to make my seats and cover my dash. I don't have any interior done yet.

My 71 was originally a dark green and has paint code 315. Does anyone know what color this is? I want to restore it back to it's correct color. Pope do you have this code in your list?

Bill, are you sure it is 315? That color is called dark green and was a color that was used in 1960.

It is 317 bottle green (that is if 71 and 72 shared codes/colors). Now all I need is to find an inexpensive body/paint shop here in SoCal.
