I decided early on to bite the bullet and cut out the rusted metal and reshape new metal to be mig welded back in. Glad I did.
Heres a couple more before and afters.
WOW, that first pic really shows a piece of crap. Notice no holes in the floor in the surface rusted version. That is only because the holes did not show up till the rubber undercoating was removed. Then it became swiss cheese.
Proof that the car originally came with flow-thought air ventilation.
The color of the metal differences are the florescent tubes cast the upper metal as yellow. But all is beautiful. I also got rid of the passanger side cat hump. New metal is much thicker than original.
