There have been a couple of guys that remove the mirror from the windshield and install a chrome one mounted to the center of the dashboard.

How do they install it there if the heater vents are there? The dash isn't metal either.

I got one from eBay from a small modern car that have the same metal arm and ball on the back. my plan is to cut the arms of both, my new one and my old one, then weld them using the old braket to mount it. I tried to repair mine but was not successful

Brady,

Here is what I mean. I saved the picture for the dash, but it also illustrates the dash mounted rear view mirror.

I assume it either has a hidden hold down screw or is mounted with adhesive.

Not really in love with the dash-mount mirror, but might grow on me... but your solid wood DASH!!!! WOW!! Is there more pics somewhere?

Did you do it yourself? Is that Koa?
