shorter shifter

Post by narfire »

Thanks Mike, just installed it with a flashlight and a curious dogs nose in my ear. Took the car around the block...feels great. Instructions worked and were timely as I could'nt remember how the wood fit onto the consol. Topped it off with a custom knob fashoned from a piece of yew wood cut many years ago in another life (faller)

"installed it with a flashlight"
very ingenious, most would have used a wrench or other common tool

 LOL

right, Mark. the set screws use a 2.5mm hex driver.

Narfire - i am pleased that you and the dog are happy. i may want to add that step to the installation sheet. can you write out any procedural changes that include the sniffing dog?

Heh.. Heh.. Heh.. Yeup, explain to the dog they do not have opposing thumbs and holding the flashlight with their mouth, although a nice thought, is not helping. Mine being a Golden Evader(Retriever) thought a chase with a flashlight would be a good game . I infact did use a screwdriver(s) as per instructions, and the thing came apart easier than expected.
When the car is finally sorted and we get a combination of a sunny day and a charged camera, photos to follow.
Thanks again
