Aftermarket wheels
Aftermarket wheels
I haven't purchased wheels for the '72 Spyder in 20 years. I'm looking to replace the existing wheels. Most that I find are 4/100mm bolt pattern. The bolt spacing on the Spyder is 4/98mm. Does anyone have information on what wheel companies carry a compatable wheel?

Re: Aftermarket wheels
All years of the Spider use 4x98 wheels. All of our vendors sell wheels for Fiat application.Bayless had a sale running recently, but check Vicks,Bruces Parts bin,IAP,etc..There is a current post on some Rota wheels on ebay. All vendors should have 13'',14'',and 15'' sizes.I have 15x7 Team Dynamic wheels w/ 205x55-15 Kumho tires.I like the wide tire look, others don't. Heres a pic

Re: Aftermarket wheels
I have considered having mine redrilled to a 4x100 pattern so I can use normal wheels. The savings on the wheels might make up for the machine work.

This may be a better option. It will get you to the more popular 4x100 w/o machining. https://adaptitusa.com/index.asp?PageAc ... &ProdID=26htchevyii wrote:I have considered having mine redrilled to a 4x100 pattern so I can use normal wheels. Re: Aftermarket wheels
I've seen the adapters as well as the "wobble bolts" that allow you to use 4x100 wheels :http://www.serpentautosport.com/HTML/Hu ... acers.html
But I don't think either is a very good solution.

Re: Aftermarket wheels
I have had bad experience with adapters, albeit on off-road Jeeps. It might not be as bad on the Fiat, although I would rather not have them on mine.

Re: Aftermarket wheels
wow, I was at work when I saw that picture and I sort of started daydreaming. ALmost got in trouble ! Beautiful view and a beautiful car!
Re: Aftermarket wheels
Just put on some wobbly bolts and a hub ring and you can use any 15" wheel out there with a correct offset. I use them for years.
