I've read that people have done it and that there isn't much involved, but amazingly there is very little (none actually) photographic evidence. There are some CRX seats for sale here locally, and I'll be going to pick them up tomorrow(if they make the grade). Does anybody have experience with this supposedly easy conversion? and pics of the finished product as well?
Thanks,
Brian

I lost all my pics when I did Mittsubeasti seats. But I can tell you do not do anything that gains height. I ended up modifying the differences into the Spider frame.

Re: Seat swap Civic/CRX
The seat frames themselves are pretty badly rotted out, the foam is shot and the blue upholstery is in tatters (don't match my black interior either...). So I'm replacing them with a cheap alternative, until I can find either a good set of originals, or a even better looking alternative.

Re: Seat swap Civic/CRX
Ha! I did it!
The rails off of the stock seats bolted right onto he CRX seats, and with a seat cover over them, they don't look too bad!
The Honda seats are a bit wide but still fit between the center console and the rockers. Firmer and higher (but not too high I'm 6'1") not soggy and low like the old seats, hopefully I won't have the back spasms after long drives anymore!
The only alteration I had to make was lowering the wire bundle next to the drivers seat, the metal retainer stopped the seat from going to the full back position. (I have long legs) I was afraid that in it current location it would chafe and cause all of the smoke to escape from the wires.
In my haste I did forget to take pictures , but I will take some of the finished product, next weekend.
