Hi at all,
after 2019 and 2022 I want to ask you again about the real amount of built Spider, wheather the 200,000th car was built or not.
In order to get to the bottom of the matter and to approach the true production number, the worldwide Spider Register can be used. To do this, it is important to know that FIAT has performed sequential numbering across types. The BS/BS1 Spiders follow directly to the AS, the CS/CS1/CSA directly or even overlap to the BS1 etc. However, there are gaps in numbering (i.e. for a new manufacture year).
In order to limit these gaps, the vehicle identification by chassis or serial numbers in the Register, which now includes more than 22,700 vehicles, were evaluated in increments of 100. Some gaps seem to exist, many of which are probably due to a lack of documented vehicles.
Hereby I need your help: Who owns or knows vehicles or has documents about vehicles that can close the gaps? Any hint on this is welcome! Please contact: fahrzeugregister@fiatspider.de or directly via the website at:

I you got or know of one car with chassis number starting with these gap numbers, please let me know!
Due to this identified gaps in numbering the Register actually counts: 199,037 Spider! So the picture of the 200,000th Fiat 124 Spider is FAKE!
Cheers Ralf
