Our 1980 124 is currently being restored by a British classic car shop that isn't afraid of a little Italian. The little old lady was sitting on jacks in our garage for .. uh.. 10 years?? Kids & life just kept us too busy to work on her, and now with both of us working there's even less time. Two (really 3-4... we own our own stained glass shop) full time jobs doesn't leave much any spare time to tinker. So, I jumped at the opportunity to throw money at the spider when I very randomly found that British shop. My daughter wanted to go to a local Ren Faire, and I looked up the location by its address... and this car shop showed up as being there also. Pure happenstance.
I'm sure I'll be posting some more once we get the car back. Plenty of work being done to her. The biggies:
- lowered suspension
- bumper conversion
- metalwork & repaint
- wake her up from a decade snooze
- lots of bits-n-bobs (door handles, mirrors, steering wheel, other bling...)
