Can these actually be used on a 79 Spider 2000? My neighbor gave me this one and if it is usable I would like to use it.

Yes, it can be done, but the main issue is that you have to create a new throttle linkage. I have a 38 DGAS in my '69 with a 2L, and while it works, there are some issues. Originally I just mounted the carb "backwards" (with the float bowel towards the rear) and ran the throttle linkage up towards the front. But, the engine tended to stall when braking on a steep (downwards) hill, presumably because the tilting gas in the float bowl flooded the engine.barnesjtsl wrote:Can these actually be used on a 79 Spider 2000?
