I recently bought a 1971 Sport coupe. I have no previous experience with italian cars but I did fall in love with the looks of this one. After about 2 days of reading on the internet about the 124 and the twin cam engine, I was sold. Took a look at the car and bought it on the spot.

The car is in great shape. I am the 3rd owner of this car. The first owner had the car for over 40 years! I have almost every receipt since the car was bought and it also has a service journal writen by the first 2 owners. Puts some pressure on me to continue on with it

Funny thing is that I can't find any rust on this car. Swedish winters are usualy not nice to cars but this one has survived really good. Last owner had a bodyshop so it was resprayed the original color. Weather strippings have seen better days, and so has many of the suspension bushings. Also, the small triangular windows have been sealed shut... There are som crappy seats installed. I have the originals but the drivers seat has a tear in the vinyl which I do not think is repairable... These are some of the things that needs to be taken care of.
I started out small, doing some general service and ordering some bushings etc but it has quickly escalatet into lots more. With the car I got an electronic ignition system (ignition 123) and also a 4-2-1 header that I think was purchased from autocarambi. From there I started thinking I wanted to convert to EFI and found some jenveys to replace the carbs. The plan was to go fuel only but now after a discussion with a friend yesterday I will problably go all in and also do spark...

Anyway, great to be here. I will probably add a project thread when I get this EFI conversion started.
