We have all heard of the photos now burning in the photobucket hell. We all know not to use them anymore.
Here's the problem moving forward: I have searched our wonderful forum for several things only to find the valuable photos were not able to be viewed. I have seen this a lot guys.
Since I hate asking questions I know have been answered and discussed (although they have all been answered very nicely and accurately) and the search here works so well; I am disappointed that so much seems gone.
I love to see the work done and get ideas, etc from the valuable photos.
So, when asked, feel free tp repost photos.
Now, if there is a way to get to there I am unaware of, please let me know/
thanks to all
Geo

Re: Mired in Photobucket
Last year some members mentioned that returning to the image code and adding this suffix “~original “ would restore the images.
A year later the fix still works so last week I returned to all my useful posts that had photos and I added the suffix. It took some time of copy/pasting but it at least brought the images back...for now.
The trouble is that we’ve had a high turnover of members over the last 5 yrs and they rarely or no longer check into here.

There is also the Photobucket hotlink fix that works with the Chrome browser.

I believe it still works.

Re: Mired in Photobucket
Yes, Photobucket now sucks. I started on this forum in 1999 before it crashed and was restored many years later. I've posted a huuuuge number of photos using Photobucket which was one of the easiest to use back in the day. Unfortunately, I am like many others who do not have the time to go back and "fix" every link.
Photobucket created this problem. I am personally planning on migrating my photos elsewhere, but that will take forever.

yes, and John, I can say for sure that some of yours are what I was trying to look at.
basically looking for interior ideas: color combos etc.

I'm now posting them as links as opposed to embedded URLs.
