So I installed a 32/36 Weber carb and single plane manifold on a '79 Spider. My issue currently is that no fuel is getting up to the carburetor from the fuel pump. Before the conversion everything was fine and the fuel pump was working and the car started up easily. now the pump is putting enough fuel in the carb to keep it running. I can pour fuel directly into the carb to get it to run but after the bowl is empty it dies.
Is my fuel pump dead?
Am I missing something?
Any advice would be helpful.

Some suggestions...
Will it pump into an empty container?
Make sure you have the correct line running to the pump if you removed it at some point.
Remove carb top cover and verify float settings, float pivots freely, and needle/seat move okay.
Buy a cheap electric just to rule out your pump didn't decide to give up.

The Auxiliary shafts are available new but they aren't cheap by any stretch (although not otherworldly expensive).
Finding good used ones really isn't all that hard. Matthews' Foreign Car might have some.

oh, dang! that sucks. did you change the belt the same time as the carb change or something? Or do you just have really bad luck?
