Hey so my names Mason, I'm looking at getting a Spider any year is fine with me I prefer 1980+, I found one on Craigslist for $4,500 and wanted to know what you guys thought of it. Sorry if this is the wrong place for this.
Car description: 1981 Fiat 2000 Spider, Good overall condition. Rust free. New top, door seals, water pump, thermostat, hoses. Also new throw-out bearing and drive shaft carrier bearing. Oil, filter, trans. and rear end oil changed. Price to include new tires, brake pads Odometer 99,000.

Welcome! If it is truly rust free then that is a rarity and well worth consideration. Rust is one of the Devils of these cars. Check the shock towers and floor pans, around the fenders, look pretty much everywhere. Check under the passenger side dash and see if the heater core is leaking coolant. If it runs well, and is really rust free, then imho that asking price is very good. There are some pretty good Fiat Spider Buyer's Guides available, someone else may be able to chime in on that.

Interesting car. Its had some front end work as the bumper is gone and the front turn signals are from a pre 1974 model. But nevertheless Fuel Injected models are great cars. Well what am I saying any Fiat 124 series is a great model.
