Turn Signal Replacement

Post by TX82FIAT »

Folks, I've been tossing around the idea of going with the abarth bumperettes or upgrading to the old fashion metal bumpers for years now. Below is a link to some truck LED lights that will cover the square hole and should look pretty good. A drawback is you will need to drill two small screw mounting holes about 1.25 inches centered at the side of each current square opening to mount. If my measurements are correct with a rubber backing applied it should fully cover the opening since the metric conversion is 3.31" X 7.56". These things are designed for trucks so it should be pretty easy to wire up and look gooD

The front fascia of the Spider has a pronounced rearward slope. I'd suggest affixing one lamp with tape and evaluating the beam spread before doing metal work. You may find that all of the light from these lamps is directed toward the ground immediately in front of the car. Imagine sitting in a Suburban on a sunny day; would you be able to see Ray signaling in front of you?
