I recently purchased the performance intake from AR. Several years ago I purchased a cone filter and adapter from IAP. When I installed the intake today it seems there is a fitment issue. The 90 degree silicone bend on the AR performance intake is a more gradual bend and pushes the filter further forward. The filter then contacts the fan frame. I have sent AR an email but wanted to ask on here if anyone has had the same issue. I see two solutions. The first is a cut one side of 90 degree bend about an inch to allow room. I think this would be enough room, but really don't want to cut anything. The second is to purchase a shorter filter. Not my first choice. Another option might be to shorten the small radiator hose to move the thermostat closer to the engine. This might give me more room for the filter. Has anyone ever done this? In the pic below the filter is pushed all the way back on the adapter, which can't be secured. Any other ideas?
