I've seen it done, so yes.
I believe it did take some trimming, but sure those that have done it will chime in.

I put a 70 grill on an 80. To pull it off, you need the 70 grill trim as well. It's been a while but don't remember having to trim the grill itself.

I recently purchased a new-old-stock honeycomb grill from Bayless and fitted it to my '76 CS1. For the price I had expected it to come with the four locating tabs fitted, but no, it was just the grill material. It was a bit fiddly to make up the upper and lower tabs out of stainless steel and fix them to the grill, but it all worked out well in the end. The car's original stainless steel grill surround did not have to be modified, but the bonnet (hood) had to be removed to allow the grill to be placed in position.

bit off-topic, but are those the rear bumpers on the front? and do you have the same on the rear?
I really like the oem-style honeycomb and plan to fit something similar on my '78, but I'm looking for the raw material so I can make a matching lower grill.
