Pininfarina footwell light?

Post by aevansgatech »

Spotted something new underneath the driver's side footwell the other day. It's very near to the hood release latch, and looks like a light socket. The socket has three prongs on it, but I have two Orange (possibly red?) wires running to it and no bulb.

Can anyone confirm there is supposed to be a footwell light? It's the first I've heard/seen that and I tried popping a side marker bulb in there with no luck. If it is a light, can someone confirm the type of bulb to be used?

Grazie!

Service Light socket, not a foot well light. We all have them, but I don't know of anyone who has the actual light that connects to it.

Interesting! I could've used one on the other side while replacing the heater core valve

It's also interesting because I'm pretty sure it ties into the door jamb switch. I was getting on/off voltage readings when playing with the switch. Hopefully someone can identify the bulb size
