Does any one make tonneau covers for spyders .??? I'd be happIer leaving my top down if the cockpit was covered. The car would have some protection from light fingers and unexpected rain showers . This looks like a product for FIAT soft top suppliers.

Re: tonneau cover supplier??
The British cars have tonneau covers because it takes 10 minutes to put the top up. Since it takes 30 seconds in a Spider, there is no real reason to have a tonneau cover.

Re: tonneau cover supplier??
Well, there's one parts source who isn't interested in supplying tonneau covers ! Any one else ?
It's 10C and sunny today here in the Gt Fruz North , distinctly chilly and drafty with top down so ," she who knows better" decided not to use the passenger seat . . I don't want to drive around with the top up on such a glorious day , one more reason for wanting a tonneau ..

Do you have a wind deflector? With one in place, and the side windows up, the car is comfortable even in the 50's.

Yup, with a wind deflector and the windows up it's not very windy even at highway speeds.

With a passenger, where would a tonneau cover go? It usually covers the rear and the passenger side, but with a passenger?
It could cover the rear seat area, but that would not keep the cold wind from coming in from behind. That is why people use a wind deflector.
If you really want a tonneau cover just go to a upholstery shop and have one made. I assume you will have to drill holes in your dash (ouch) to attach some fasteners that the tonneau can attach to.
Good luck!

Re: tonneau cover supplier??
Great point!!! I had a 1961 Austin Healey 3000 and by the time you got the top on and the side windows in place you could be pretty wet.The British cars have tonneau covers because it takes 10 minutes to put the top up. Since it takes 30 seconds in a Spider, there is no real reason to have a tonneau cover.
I have seen tonneau covers on Spiders and to me they look out of place. They have humps in the middle for the head rests. I think its safe to assume the tonneau placement and removal would be more time consuming than putting our tops up or down.

Re: tonneau cover supplier??
I made my own. It servers two purposes. no need for a separate boot, and protects the cockpit from the sun when parked while running errands. Howere, if you leave the passenger side in place it will take away from the air flow in the cockpit while driving. I also have a windscreen and each one serves a different unrelated use. JUST my experience and opinion.

Csaba,
I just found my cover last week but may be missing some hardware. Would you have any of that stuff.

Re: tonneau cover supplier??
Maybe the British cars are designed to have water running up to the dash and windshield when a tonneau cover is in place however I would not think it a good idea on the Spider. Being so little bother to put the top up I don't know that I would want to carry all that extra stuff anyways. Here we put the top up when parked outside because of the high probability of a Tropical Downpour so a tonneau cover would serve little purpose letting a flood of water flow behind the dash and into the foot wells.
On short trips running errands or on the daily commute who really bothers with the boot cover anyways? After the novelty wears off the boot cover stays for the most part in the trunk or garage until there is a show, a long trip with the top down or some other event with a photo opp.
Anyways just about any local upholstery, truck accessory or marine supply should have tonneau cover supplies on the shelf if one is really intent on one.
